The Next Chapter

Let's WRECK THIS JOURNAL People!!!

With none other than the inspiring and creative Jamie from Starshyne Productions... Our leader in The Next Chapter.

This is Day 1 of Book 3 for us, and I have enjoyed these projects so much. I've crossed blogging paths with some of the most inspiring people and I'm really looking forward to continued creativity & fun, growth & connecting with everyone involved in this book project!

"Carry this with you everywhere you go." is the first instruction given by Keri Smith. Check - it's tucked into the backpack that goes everywhere I do.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am really psyched to work and play through this book. I filled out my name & address on the first page and leafed through the book....it's a panic!

Tomorrow

Tomorrow Jamie begins leading our "The Next Chapter" group on a new and exciting journey through the book "Wreck This Journal" by Keri Smith.
The irony of it is that I bought this book for my hatchling a couple summers ago while we were checking out bookstores in Toronto.

She loved it and it really is a cool and fun book. And of course I love Keri Smith, cause she's a girl after my own heart. Canadian indie writer, unorthodox and completely off the generic guidelines of writing a book. She had an original awesome idea and ran with it.

Getting my copy today hopefully. This will be our 3rd book journey through Jamie's fabulous "The Next Chapter" series. I cannot tell you how much I enjoy these projects and how inspiring it is to join a group of kindreds all working through the same book. Kudos to Jamie for being such a supportive and enthusiastic leader throughout. I can't wait!

Do you have your copy of Wreck This Journal? Are you ready for some fun?

Wednesday Wishcasting

The ever-fabulous Jamie at Starshyne Productions asks us...
What is your wish for June?

June marks the end of another school year for my hatchling. It is a month of excitement, end of the year class trips, and the overall enthusiasm for a summer of freedom to sleep in and run and play and swim and hike and hang out with her friends.

My wish for June is for my hatchling to have a blast and soak up all the excitement this month holds. To feel happy and good inside with all that she has accomplished this school year. To know that another year of new experiences, friendships and education has added growth to her journey.

peace & happy June everyone!

Having Fun

my herbs & Impatiens hanging on for dear life waiting for me to have time to transplant them

Our Joy Rebel mission this week is to "Have Fun" I can get into that Brandi!

The fun started yesterday when myself and this guy went to this friend's baby shower. Where there was a CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN!!! Need I say more? Let me tell you, the fun began right there with heaping platters of fresh strawberries, pineapple & banana chunks all to hold under the melting, warm dripping chocolate...omg, I think I spent half the day at that fountain!
It was a great shower and I never saw so much "pink stuff" in all my life. (yes it's a girl!!!) She's due one month from today and everyone is oh-so-excited!

Afterwards, we came to my teeny boho apartment/cottage where this guy laughed himself into hysterics while observing my garden-in-progress. He saw my sad little tomato plants (I have 2)...and that was it...he was gone over the edge, crossed over to that place where laughter becomes tears and you can't stand up without peeing yourself!
He named it "The Charlie Brown Garden", among other things, implying that it is a place where fairies and garden gnomes come to die... too funny! The kind of thing only a good friend can get away with saying.
He makes a good point though...here's a visual for you all.

Alas...it's still in the early stages. I only have half of it dug up (by hand- quite a work-out!) so I've only planted a bit of veggies & seeds so far. I'm just hoping the soil doesn't know it's past the May 24th planting deadline.

Fun? Absolutely! Even my zen garden had to be trimmed down to half the size I was planning because I decided that buying stones from the garden center is sort of oxymoron...so I only got a couple small bags. Me & this guy are gonna do it "old school" and go down to the beach with pails and fill them up with stones!
Pics of that to come soon!

* Now go check out his blog to read more of his critique of my garden!

peace, fun, & friends
