Real Mothers

one of my favourite artists....Klimt

Something from my email box to share with you all....

Real Mothers don't eat quiche;
they don't have time to make it.

Real Mothers know that their kitchen utensils
are probably in the sandbox.

Real Mothers often have sticky floors,
filthy ovens and happy kids.

Real Mothers know that dried play-dough
doesn't come out of carpets.

Real Mothers don't want to know what
the vacuum just sucked up.

Real Mothers know that a child's growth
is not measured by height or years or grade...
It is marked by the progression of Mommy to Mom to Mother...

The Images of Mother
4 YEARS OF AGE - My Mommy can do anything!

8 YEARS OF AGE - My Mommy knows a lot! A whole lot!

12 YEARS OF AGE - My Mom doesn't really know quite everything.

14 YEARS OF AGE - Naturally, Mom doesn't know that, either.

16 YEARS OF AGE - My Mother? She's hopelessly old-fashioned.

18 YEARS OF AGE - That old woman? She's way out of date!

25 YEARS OF AGE - Well, she might know a little bit about it!

35 YEARS OF AGE - Before we decide, let's get Mother's opinion.

45 YEARS OF AGE - Wonder what Mom would have thought about it?

65 YEARS OF AGE - Wish I could talk it over with Mom.

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes,
because that is the doorway to her heart,
the place where love resides.

The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole,
but true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul.
It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she
shows, and the beauty of a woman with passing years only grows!

LMAO !!!

Who remembers Laverne & Shirley?
Me & my girlfriends grew up watching that show and couldn't wait to finish highschool and get our own apartment like Laverne & Shirley.
Anyhoo - one of my old friends emailed me a "blast from our past". It's Lenny & Squiggy singing at the "Shotz Brewery talent show", and I remember it like it was yesterday!
Oh my god - you have to watch....hilarious!!!
*And it's worth noting that although these guys played "loser" characters, they're really talented to be able to pull off this song in those characters.

Opinions Please?

(Light Wave Creations at the 2008 Green Earth Expo)

So people, I recently had an article of mine published regarding participation in Earth Hour.

Since then, a few people have alerted me to a certain blog whose author calls Earth Hour a "stunt" and anyone participating in this worldwide event a "sucker".
Reading some more of her blog, it's evident, she's quite cynical, quite negative about many things, if not everything....and as I commented on her blog, I couldn't help but notice I am practically the only person who read her thoughts on this.

I feel great about being a supporter of Earth Hour. I am pleased that my daughter is aware and also participated. While I am quite aware of the fact that we didn't change the planet the other night, I am not a sucker, and I don't believe Earth Hour is a "stunt".

I'm curious to know what you guys think?

For earth hour, I had a few friends in and we turned off everything and sat & talked by the light of a couple of soy candles. Of course we didn't change the environment that night, but it counts for awareness and care of our planet and being pro-active, don't you think?

peace
