It came overnight softly and quietly while we slept. A friend of mine who was born and raised in Australia told me that the very first time she saw snow, what surprised her the most is how quietly it floats down from the sky. It doesn't make any noise, like when it rains, and she found that to be fascinating....how snow can silence everything.
So I just had to get out there and walk my hatchling & her friend to school and take some pics along the way.

Thank goodness snow is silent, LOL! I'd hate to think what a racket a blizzard would make otherwise -- it's bad enough with howling wind.

wow, it feels like it was just yesterday i saw pics of hatchling with her midriff out! lol
that is the most beautiful thing about snow...its silence.
