If you like to go, you know, OUTSIDE in the summer, here's a tip!
I don't know about your area, but where I live the mosquitoes seem to be bigger, more aggressive, and out for blood in droves, more than in past years. OY! Me & hatching are covered in itchy bites!
I found a solution that works for us. The nice, helpful, wonderful, sanity and skin saving girl who works in our local health food stored told me....
Lemon Eucalyptus Oil
Go get some now....do not pass go, do not collect $200 - just go get it now and your summer may be saved from the wrath of the mosquito ! I mixed the essential oil with our sweet almond carrier oil that I already had.....and it freakin works!!!!
*My hatchling is a teenager, so I don't know how this is with little ones...I'd advise you to check it out first.

Awesome tip, Boho! And I bet it smells delicious. We have the same problem here and to top it off, our house is crawling with tiny ants that never seem to go away. Hope your summer is going well!

we spent an agonizing weekend in Algonquin (i know, Algonquin in June - wtf?) and i resorted to spraying us with Off -- something i have always refused to do. the idea of dousing myself (and my kids) in chemicals makes me twitchy. but the mosquitoes? omG!
they're some form of mutant size this year, for sure!
i much prefer your EO option.
