You Know Who Your Friends Are When....

~ they come to your rescue when you are (again) being threatened by nut-job landlord while moving out.

~ they create diversions so the landlord from hell can't follow your moving truck to your new home.

~ they bring you a Timmie's large double-double because you can't find your coffee machine amongst all the boxes and you have to be in court in a half-hour.

~ they help you get your kidnapped cat back from your nut-job landlord (I'm serious).

~ they let you come to their house to hang out and get away from the maze of boxes and use their Internet because yours isn't getting hooked up until Friday.

~ they give you a ride even though your hatchling has been diagnosed with Swine Flu.

~ they make her little treat bags because she was too sick to go trick or treating and missed out on Halloween, our favourite time of the year.

Hatchling is recovering nicely, and we're gonna be fine, although I'm beginning to feel symptomatic. (I'm definitely having one of those "wish I was married" weeks).
Sometimes it's so hard to do it all alone and for this reason, I am so very grateful for all my wonderful and supportive friends....(You know who you are).

***The landlord/tenant hearing went very well - in my favour. Slumlord showed his true colours...he truly is an idiot. More of that to come. It isn't over.

P.S. We all know people who have horror stories about...
1.- Childbirth
2.- the H1N1 virus.

As my daughter has seen her pediatrician and is on the antiviral drug Tamiflu, and is thankfully recovering nicely, I ask that you guys please do not scare me anymore than I've already been, with knowledge about this flu....thanks.
I have ONE NERVE left and my former slumlord is on it!!

peace & prayers please for a healthy hatchling

You and your hatchling have been on my mind - and I'm thankful to read you have such dear friends... sometimes it's hard being so far from bloggy friends we become attached to... you feel a bit helpless when they are going through so much, yes?

Prayers and good vibes for your little one, thankfully it sounds like she is on the mend.

Oh, honney!!
Hatchling is SO surrounded with love & good vibes! My grandbabes did fine with the flu, too . . . & well on the mend.
So glad you (& your kitty!) are out of the Slumlord's clutches - & as Z Budapest says , may he be brought down by his own attitudes & actions!

Blessings & loves

Oh my gods! Hatchling with the flu! I'm so happy that she's recovering well, Boho!! With Tamiflu she'll be up in a flash, you'll see! Wht a hard time you've been through! It's wonderful that you have friends to be your shield when you need it most! What the heck, did that guy kidnap you cat???? What an asshole!!! All I can say is that I am so happy that you're finally at home again, no matter is your computer is not on till the end of the week! I'm just sorry that your sweet girl couldn't enjoy Halloween this year like she loves to, but next year won't be far away. Take good care, both of you, okay?

Sending you the most positive vibes possible and healing wishes.

Kisses and love from us.

My prayers are with you! Speedy recovery for your hatchling. I'm so sorry about your nut-job landlord stealing your cat and being crazy. I'm a landlord, but DID have a nutjob tenant who had turned my house into a crack house, and then tried to set me on fire when she was finally evicted...after a year of not paying rent (gotta love the law)...by leaving everything closed, the door locked and the gas burners on.

Good riddance to crazy people and on to a new, happy life :)

OMG This is what happens when you don't have a phone till friday. Are you kidding Swine Flu? Poor T, she must be a sick little kitten right now :( She will be all better soon tho I'm sure. You wont get this till friday, but I am glad you are all safely moved in. Had NO idea the rug kidnapped Harlem!! HOLY SHIT! I am SO glad you are outta there! Ben and I might come visit today, hope its safe with the swine flu!! We'll bring some Timmys!!! He is moved in now, just sorting through his mess of boxes too, not as big as all yours, but I get how you feel, must be what I was like after the fire, just kinda numb and releived, and overwhelmed.... You'll rock it out! I know ;)

Sending your hatchling healing thoughts. Many of the young ones at the elementary school have been falling ill- it just wipes them out. No energy what so ever for a week- which is odd for a six or seven year old.

I've always admired your optimism and outlook. Best of luck with your landlord. Enjoy your new home.

My son also missed Halloween due to something like the swine flu. He's fine now. The doctor said it runs its course in 4-5 days. Now I'm getting a nasty head cold! I'm glad you got out of that place. I know this will be a smooth transition for you and hatchling!
