Home is where your stuff is.

Hello peeps! Thanks so much for all your well wishes!

I have moved and am feeling a bit disconnected from the world, which no doubt comes from moving so freakin often. I think I'm over this gypsy thing for awhile.

I've completed the tedious unpacking of a zillion boxes, the hanging up of pictures, etc. and all that other fun stuff that goes with a move. I am exhausted. We like our new home (apartment), and unless I move to a different city for a better job, I'd prefer to stay in this place for awhile.

The whole court battle thing with the "slumlord from hell" is progressing in my favour... and as I can track IP addresses of those who visit my blog, I've noticed that the whack-job actually reads my blog. Hmmm... I won't be writing openly too much about that anymore. (you can always email me for specifics).

My hatchling is all better from the swine flu, poor kid - she rarely gets sick and this flu knocked the sh*t out of her. And I must have a kick-ass immune system, because I thought for sure I'd catch it too, but thankfully, I am only tired. Exhausted from moving again, broke from moving again, and feeling a bit disconnected from the world, (my phone & internet hook up will have to wait another week or so).

I am currently at a friends house, feeding her kitty & bunny and treating myself to cable TV and internet access! woo-hoo!
My friend K. has had major knee surgery (ouch!), and I would love it if you all could keep her in mind with get-well wishes and healing vibes.

That's all for now. No creative juices flowing here....but I'll be back soon.

That's a lot going on! I can't believe your little one got the swine flu during all of this, like you two aren't going through enough? Yes, don't write anything about your situation in case he uses it against you in court. Would love an update when you have the chance but really, just relax, unpack and settle for a while. I know that weird feeling you're talking about, that sense of surrealness, I had that wicked when I first got the BC. I even wondered if I was a ghost, that I didn't make it, crazy eh? Just wanted to let you know you are not alone. Hugs to you both!

Glad to hear you're all moved into the new apartment and I totally understand re. the landlord side of things. Ewwwww at the thought of him reading your blog though.

I'm so sorry to hear your sweet hatchling got the swine flu. Geez, what a crazy time for you both!

Sending healing vibes K's way.

Kick back and rest now. xo

You do have a lot going on but it's all for the good and you'll be settled in before you know it! Glad to hear that hatchling is better.

You have a lot on your plate! Glad the move went well. I understand your frustration with moving all the time... I've moved something like 12 times in 8 years. Yuck! But it gives us experience and struggles to overcome which we have to be grateful for, or else we might just go crazy under the stress.
If you're feeling more stressed than grateful though, here's some good news:

Congratulations! I have chosen you as one of my recipients of the Best Blog Award. Please check out my post for details and a link for the picture that goes along with the award.

Glad your move went well. I know how tiring and disconcerting those things are, and you have undergone through a lot of upheaval lately. I hope this new place brings you joy and peace. And I hope the d-bag slumlord gets everything he deserves.

Ditto to the above!! SO glad the move is done & you're beginning the settling in process!
My dau has her house on the market (got remarried last Jan, & her house is SMALL) so may be doing the movin' boogie soon!! Will be sad to have them across town rather than next door, but good for them!

I made yummy rattatouie & bean soup & a last of garden plus CSA stuff salad for lunch - wish you were here

Hugs & loves

First of all, it is never too late to participate! So you're 24 hours different than our ritual, that's totally OK. The moon is officially new until tomorrow so there, no biggie. :)

I think with the move and unpacking and taking time away from the computer you were cleansing in your own way. You are starting this cycle completely fresh and new! You're doing great and I can not WAIT to hear how things are going.
