Thunderstorm

I woke up very early this morning to the sound of thunder rumblings and bright flashes of lightening outside my windows. Storms like these are one of my favourite things in the world. Even though this friend came over last night and we stayed up way too late watching scary movies, I just couldn't stay in bed and sleep through this awesome storm. While there was a lull in the rain, I headed out to my back yard with my camera. My garden, also known as "Terra", is doing quite well. Have you ever noticed how plants seem to grow 6 inches after a thunder & lightening storm?

And look at what's growing in my backyard...raspberries!

This is one of the few things I chose to keep from my childhood. Our "white rabbit" was always situated somewhere in the backyard of every home I lived as a child.

I have been carrying this rabbit around with me through every home hatchling and I have moved to, and he finally has a spot outside in a yard again.

Whoops, sorry that's my deleted comment there, hahaha, lets try that again :P

HAHA Did you sleep well after the scary movie last night????? lol I slept just fine, cleared the energy outta this place, then went to bed. In fact its 1pm and the cat and I are still in bed. We've decided that we are only getting out to eat, and use the litter box. Well, he uses the litter box, I use the big boys bathroom.

LOVED the thunderstorm we had! Guess it went all the way into Toronto too! Your garden is getting HUGE!! I forgot to check it out yesterday!! Sooner than you think you are going to have fresh produce of your very own!! I have decided that I am going to have a massive garden next year. We should find a house together and rent it, and have our own produce stand on the side of the road, like Mary Anne and Wanda, from that Dixie Chicks Song "Earl had to die" Get it??? GET IT??? hahahaha omg. just wet the bed... hahaha

Talk to you later, or now, I think I will call and make you read my fabulous post out loud and laugh... I bet you will laugh at this part, I'm NUTS today!

YES - you are quite "NUTS" today.
A perfect example of what lack of sleep can do to a person.
Hope you had a good nap.

Love the white rabbit. It must be nice to have an apartment with outside space. I'm surrounded by cement. :-(

I have to buy my raspberries or plan a pilgrimage to my mothers where she keeps threatening to tear down her raspberry patch Boo!
