Sacred Freaky Sunday

Yesterday was my birthday.
Last night I dreamt that my dad (who's been dead for years), came in my livingroom/bedroom in the middle of the night and sat in this chair.

He woke me up. (I sleep on a sofa-bed across from this chair)
He sat down and said...
"Goddammit! I've had just about enough of this bullshit. Quit smoking!"

I remember saying..."Dad, how did you get here? what are you doing here?"

And he said..."Just don't smoke anymore, ok!?!"

And that's it, that's all I remember.

I took this pic as soon as I woke up this morning to see if they're were any "orbs" or "psychic energy" floating around..(yeah, I'm weird that way).

Our birthdays always bring about a reminder of our own mortality, so whether it was my frame of mind that brought on this dream, or a "visit" from the astral plane...who knows?
I believe in everything "unexplainable" and "paranormal" until it's disproved.

I love and miss my dad, and it still feels like he was right here with me. It's been so long since I've seen him or heard his voice so clearly.

Hmmm...while I'm constantly trying to quit smoking, maybe it's time that I just go ahead and climb the walls with withdrawal for however long it takes.

Wow WOW! How awesome and weird is that? Talk about a clear message! Very interesting indeed. I'm also in the midst of quitting smoking--instead of buying cigarettes I've been spending the money on fresh flowers for the apartment. Out with the icky, in with the fresh! It's working! :)

Best of luck on busting the habit!

my friend john came to me in a 'dream' the tuesday or wednesday before he died and said 'you need to say goodbye, I won't be coming back after this weekend'.

he died on a saturday.

your dad came to visit. And it sounds like he meant it.

and it has been my experience that the good growth happens when I stop 'trying' and really make the decision.

you can do this.

we're here to support you.

I always listened to my Dad. He told me to stop biting my fingernails when I was 12 (he was alive then) and so I did! He was right of course :)

I'd do as your Dad says. I mean, he even made a special trip to tell you!

That is incredibly powerful! Holy cow! Nothing like a touch of freaky to add to your birthday. Perhaps he will help give you the strength to let that negative out of your life forever.

Happy birthday! (my dau got married on your BD, & my middle grand daughter turned 5 on the 1st :)

Thanks for sharing your dream - what a powerful message, isn't it?? What a perfect time to 'start fresh,' as Brigit washes her face, . . .

I like Molly's idea of getting fresh flowers! -- remember the flower essences (tobacco's 'message' is to help us ground, & connect us with spirit - what are other ways to do this? & what are some other ways to 'give yourself some space?' . . .

all the best!

First of all, Happy Birthday, Boho!!! Oh sorryu that only now I've read this! (seems this is my motto lately... I'm always late now!). I'm sure you had a awesome day with your hatchling - btw, wow, that post about when you were oregnant and your mom's talk... Gods, you're strong). And now, this dream!!! I'd honestly throw away every pack of cigarettes I had at home! LOL If it made your dad come from where he was to give you this piece of advice, I'd follow it right away, seriously.
I often dream of my late dad, and it's great when it happens, like a bonus. It's been eight years since he's gone.

Kisses and love from us.

PS: Im so pissed off because I haven1t got your little bell. Damn Brazilian Mailing system!!! It's the second time something like this happen. Rodrigo will go to Rio tomorrow, and he will check it out again at the apartment. Crossing fingers, one never knows.
